Before You Register

Review Getting Started to find resources to prepare for edTPA, read the eligibility requirements, access online training, identify your portfolio system, and review submission and reporting dates.
Read the candidate policies for participation in edTPA.
Review the edTPA Registration Overview , which describes the registration process and details the information you will be asked to provide when you register.

Register to Take or Retake the Full Assessment

All candidates will register on this website. Some candidates will continue on this site and build their portfolio here, while other candidates will build their portfolio on another portfolio system currently in use at their educator preparation program. Review the instructions for the system used by your program:

Pearson ePortfolio System

Candidates Using the Pearson ePortfolio System

If you will be building your portfolio on this site, please follow these instructions to register:

Click "Register Now" below. If this is your first time using the system, click the link for "Create an account now" to create an account.
Register for edTPA by following the system instructions to select your approved assessment area(s) and answer the background questions.

Be sure to allow adequate time, perhaps up to several days, before your planned submission date to upload and review your files in the Pearson system and to complete the submission process for scoring.

Integrated edTPA Platform Provider System

Candidates Using an Integrated edTPA Platform Provider System

If you will be using an integrated system (Anthology Portfolio (formerly Chalk & Wire), Digication, Edthena, Foliotek, Lessoncast, RCampus, Sibme, TORSH Talent, Watermark (Student Learning & Licensure [formerly Via], LiveText, Taskstream, Tk20), and WGU Integrated Performance Assessment), please follow these instructions:

Register for edTPA on this site.
Follow the system instructions to select your approved assessment area(s) and answer the background questions.
Get your authorization key.
Immediately after you register, indicate your portfolio system. Select "Integrated Platform Provider." An authorization key will be generated and emailed to you.
Complete your portfolio.
Complete your work in your educator preparation program's system.
Use your authorization key to transfer your portfolio to the Pearson system.
From your educator preparation program's system, transfer your portfolio to the Pearson system. Enter your authorization key when prompted.

Be sure to allow adequate time, perhaps up to several days, before your planned submission date to upload and review your files in the Pearson system and to complete the submission process for scoring.
Review and submit your portfolio.
In the Pearson system (on this site), review your portfolio and submit it for scoring.

Other Platform Provider System

Candidates Using Other Portfolio Systems

Which portfolio system should I use more information

All candidates registering for a partial retake will use the Pearson ePortfolio system. No other systems are available for partial retakes.

Before registering for a partial retake, review the Instructions for edTPA Retake . This guide contains important registration and submission information.

Retake Guidelines

In one registration you may select either to retake an entire assessment or to retake any combination of tasks.
You may not reregister for an assessment for which you are already registered, or for which you have submitted and are awaiting scores.
You may not be simultaneously registered for more than one retake for the same assessment.
